DTH’s Dancing Through Barriers: Firebird Curriculum,  an innovative, collaborative teaching model designed to expand access to dance education complements this highly anticipated revival.

Built to engage dance educators, students, and the entire school community, the curriculum incorporates the Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) and Dance Frameworks, empowering all learners to:

  • Experience the magic of dance
  • Create and generate their own movement
  • Develop artistic voice and confidence
  • Break through barriers — in dance and beyond

We are excited to share that the Dance Theatre of Harlem will present a special School Time Matinee performance of Firebird at New York City Center on April 15th.

This student-friendly performance offers a wonderful opportunity for young people to experience the power of live dance and storytelling through music and movement.
